Softball Among Top Academic Teams In The Nation

Sarah Teller helped WSU finish 14th nationally in team GPA.
The Wayne State University softball squad was ranked 14th in the nation by the
National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA). The ranking was based on team grade-point average (3.393) for the 2008-09 academic year. The Warriors were second among GLIAC schools.
Only one school ranked higher than WSU qualified for the NCAA tournament, but that institution did not reach its regional final.
