DETROIT -- The National Fastpitch Coaches' Association (NFCA) released its 2012 All-Region honorees and four Warrior softball players earned the accolades in the Midwest Region, as voted on by the region's coaches.
Sophomore second baseman
Nikki Fulton (Stratford, Ont./St. Michael Catholic S.S.) earned first team honors, while senior third baseman
Alison Allen (Redford, Mich./Farmington Hills Mercy), junior right fielder
Stephanie Foreman (Cambridge, Ont./Preston), and sophomore left fielder
Logan White (Brantford, Ont./Johnson C.V.I.) earned second team accolades.
Fulton was named GLIAC Co-Player of the Year and set a WSU and GLIAC single-season record in runs scored with 65).
Allen, an All-GLIAC Second Team selection, ends her WSU career as the leader in several categories including hits, slugging percentage, batting average, and home runs.
Foreman, an All-GLIAC Honorable Mention recipient, finished 2012 with a .384 batting average and drove in 43 runs.
White, who was named to the All-GLIAC First Team, ended her sophomore campaign with 75 hits and a .397 batting average.
All NFCA Regional selections are eligible to be named to one of three All-American teams, which will be announced May 16.
