BAY CITY, Mich. - Wayne State University junior outside hitter Sarha Gosselin (Harrison Twp., Mich./Warren Lincoln) was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) South Division Player of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.

Gosselin registered 39 kills and 19 digs as WSU went 1-1 over the weekend. She posted a double-double of 19 kills and 10 digs in Friday's 3-2 setback to Saginaw Valley State, and followed that up with 20 kills and nine digs in a 3-2 victory Saturday over Lake Superior State.

Gosselin, who became the first Warrior to reach the 20-kill mark in nearly two years, also contributed four aces and four blocks on the weekend.

She currently ranks sixth in the GLIAC with a 3.18 kills per set average, and ninth in the league with a 3.62 points per set average.

Wayne State heads to the Upper Peninsula this weekend to take on Michigan Tech on Friday and Northern Michigan on Saturday.
