Gosselin Receives All-America Honors

Wayne State University junior outside hitter Sarha Gosselin (Harrison Twp., Mich./Warren Lincoln) was recognized on the Honorable Mention All-America team by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), as announced by the organization Wednesday afternoon. Gosselin is the third volleyball All-American in school history behind Elisa Joris (2005) and Rachel Parham (1987). (more)

Volleyball Trio Collects More All-Region Awards

Wayne State University junior outside hitter Sarha Gosselin (Harrison Twp., Mich./Warren Lincoln), junior middle blocker Lauren Mallast (Chesterfield, Mich./Anchor Bay) and senior libero Mayssa Bazzi (Dearborn, Mich.) all received All-Midwest Region accolades from the American Volleyball Coaches Association, the organization announced Wednesday morning. Three Warriors Earn Volleyball All-Region Honors

Three members of the 2008 Wayne State University volleyball team received Daktronics, Inc. All-Midwest Region honors in a vote by the region's sports information directors. Junior outside hitter Sarha Gosselin (Harrison Twp., Mich./Warren Lincoln) was named to the All-Region First Team, while senior libero Mayssa Bazzi (Dearborn, Mich.) and junior middle blocker Lauren Mallast (Chesterfield, Mich./Anchor Bay) earned Second Team recognition.
