Greg Padgitt, Jr. was named Off-Campus Recruiting Coordinator in the spring of 2025 by head coach Tyrone Wheatley. He was promoted to Director of Recruiting by first-year head coach Terrance Isaac, Sr., in the spring of 2026.
Padgitt, Jr. looks to build on his success as the nations No. 1 Junior College Recruiting Coordinator while with Tyler Junior College.
He began his football administrative career as the director of football operations and recruiting coordinator at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College in Cloquet, Minn. for the 2018-29 academic year. He assisted in Rayshaad Roddy transferring to UNC Charlotte after Roddy led the NJCAA with 23.5 TFL and ranked second in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) and third in the nation with 12.5 sacks.
After 19 months at FDLTCC, Padgitt, Jr. served as the recruiting coordinator at Mesabi Range Community and Technical College in Virginia, Minn. Following 13 months with Mesabi, he spent the spring of 2021 with Garden City (Kansas) Community College as football, track and cross country recruiting coordinator.
Padgitt, Jr. joined the Cisco (Community) College in the fall of 2021 as recruiting coordinator for the women's basketball program before adding responsibilities as the head of recruiting for the CC football program. He then joined the Tyler (Junior) College football program as high school relations coordinator and co-recruiting coordinator.
Padgitt has over 20 years of recruiting expertise under his belt having assisted over 300 student-athletes in Central Texas and the Gulf Coast areas of Texas attain scholarship opportunities and preferred walk-on status through his Future All-Stars Scouting and Training Program.
He also serves as an early childhood and elementary educator and has over 25 years working in the child development, adapted physical education, and elementary school settings. Padgitt currently serves as a Club Director for the Boys & Girls Club in Austin, Texas.
