DETROIT -- The student-athletes at Wayne State University continue to excel in the classroom.  Twenty-one (21) student-athletes recorded a perfect 4.00 term GPA with a record 66 percent of Warrior student-athletes receiving above a 3.00 for the recently completed Fall semester.

"We measure ourselves in athletics -- that's why we keep score," said Director of Athletics Rob Fournier.  "And this academic performance reflects the hard work and dedication of student-athletes, coaches and staff.  To have our highest GPA ever (3.15), and consistently have that success across all programs (14 above a 3.0) is worthy of acknowledgement.  When you consider our graduation rate (71%) and community service outreach (10,754 hours) there is a lot to recognize."
