ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The 29th-ranked Wayne State University softball squad (38-13 overall) won its NCAA Tournament opener by a 1-0 score over Truman State University (39-22 overall) Thursday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The visiting Bulldogs had one base runner in each of the first three innings, but each time Warrior hurler

In the bottom of the frame, Butler laced a 1-2 offering down the left field line for a double. A sacrifice bunt by
Allie Buchanan (Cambridge, Ont.) advanced Butler to third.Â
