2017-18:   Selected as the squad's Newcomer of the Year ... was a CoSIDA Academic All-District nominee.  INDOOR:  Earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors in the triple jump (11.98m), which also earned her a GLIAC title and shattered the school record ... named to the GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team ... competed in five of the final six meets, including the GLIAC Championships ... had a season-best distance of 5.34m for the long jump at the GVSU Open (1/19).  OUTDOOR:  Named to the GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team ... only competed in the first meet (Charlotte 49er Classic) ... recorded a long jump mark of 4.97m, and a triple jump distance of 11.45m, which was the school record for just over one month ... 2017-18 recipient of the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award.

2016-17:  Attended Youngstown State University in the fall of 2016, but did not compete for the Penguins ... transferred to WSU in January of 2017 ... became eligible to compete for the Warriors in January of 2018.

2015-16:  Competed for the University of Alabama-Birmingham.  INDOOR:  Competed in six meets plus the Conference USA Championship ... recorded a season-best distance of 11.74m (38-06.25) and a third place finish in the triple jump at the Vulcan Invite (Jan. 16) ... registered a season-best long jump of 5.28m (17-04.00) at the Samford Invitational ... also competed in the 60m dash (8.25).  OUTDOOR:  Competed in seven meets plus the Conference USA Championship ... had a career-best of 11.94m (39-02.25) in the triple jump at the league meet ... had a season-best of 5.39m (17-08.25) at the Vanderbilt Black and Gold Invitational ... also competed in the 100m (13.29).

2014-15:  Participated for the UAB Blazers.  INDOOR:  Competed in five meets plus the Conference USA Championship … registered a season-best distance of 19-08.00 (5.99m) in the long jump at the Vulcan Invite on her way to the individual title (Jan. 23) ... recorded a season-best in the triple jump at the MTSU Valentine Invitational (Feb. 7) with a distance of 11.54m (37-10.50) ... also participated in the 60m dash (8.21), 200 (28.08) and 300 (47.31).  OUTDOOR:  Competed in six meets plus the Conference USA Championship ... notched a season-best in the triple jump of 11.71m (38-05) at the C-USA Championship ... had a season-best of 4.75m (15-07) in the long jump at the Raleigh Relays ... also competed in the 100 (13.00), 200 (27.20), 4x200 and 1600SMR.

High School:  A 2014 graduate of Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School in South Carolina ... was a three-time school MVP ... was a state qualifier as a sophomore in 2012 in both the long jump (17-04) and triple jump (37-06) ... was the 2013 3A state champion in the outdoor triple jump (39-03) ... also attended Liverpool High School ... was a state qualifier as a freshman for LHS in the triple jump (36-07).

Personal:  Full name--Shanice M. Leach ... born January 25, 1996 ... daughter of Tycia Leach ... has two younger sisters, Tymaiah and Zynae ... is majoring in Criminal Justice ... named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll (term GPA 3.5+) for Winter 2017, Fall 2017 and Winter 2018.
